I finished this quilt yesterday. It's a UFO from 2005 and was intended originally for my parents' 50th wedding anniversary. The size of the quilt (89x108) was just too hard for me to quilt at the time. Anyway, in January, I started a goal of quilting one hour a day on anything. So got this done despite how heavy and big it was. I would have finished it the day my Dad passed away (2 days before their 56th anniversary). I had originally intended not to quilt the trees so that they would 'pop' but mom wanted them quilted.
I am providing a link rather than an upload, at least until I buy a new SD reader. http://pic20.picturetrail.com/VOL252.../398448028.jpg The pattern is called Pine Groves and it is in the Thimbleberries Book of Quilts by Lynette Jensen. |

Yes, the pattern is in the Thimbleberries Book of Quilts. It does use Thimbleberries fabric, which I no longer buy (I need brighter colors now).

My sympathies on the loss of your father. I hope this quilt will remind you of many happy memories you had of your parents while you worked on it. What a great idea to set a goal of quilting everyday, even if for one hour -- I could accomplish a lot if I followed your lead.
