My first large quilt finally finished!

I made this quilt for my brother who is being treated for mantle cell lymphoma. Going through chemo and a stem cell transplant has left him feeling pretty crappy. I started it as soon as I could and I'm happy to say that it is done and it's on its way to him now. I hope that it provides lots of comfort, especially now that the weather is getting cooler.

I also want to say a big thank you to the board. I picked up a number of tips and help from other board members, including: overdying the backing, not pressing the binding, trying a continuous bias binding, using wonder clips while hand-sewing the binding, how to wash a quilt with wool batting and probably others I can't think of right now. So, thank you!

How pleasant the color combinations look together, it is stunning, love the pattern and the gorgeous feline camped out on the quilt. I pray the quilt blesses your brother, knowing all the love you have sewn into it so he could wrap himself up in it. I pray his treatment will eradicate the cancer, and this should make him smile.

Having chemo and a stem cell transplant is not fun and this quilt will keep him is good spirits.
Eighteen years ago I had the same thing for stage 3 breast cancer, in 18 years he'll be telling people how the stem cell transplant saved his life also. And how his wonderful sister hugged him with a beautiful quilt.
Love your kitty also.
