I never thought about going to yard sales or thrift shop for fabric until I saw the wonderful finds on this board. I did pretty good for my first time out. The first house I got a plastic bin with all sorts of bindings, lace, transfer pens & paper for $1.00 and three fabrics, two silky kind (hey-you never know!) and one that is really soft but not silky-all three for $5.00! The thrift store was 2 seperate bags of scraps $1.00 each and a sailboat wall kit for $.75. At another yard sale I got two pieces of cotton fabric, blue/white 4 yds and blue pineapple 1.7 yds for $6.00!

WOW you were busy...I'm also not into tag sales but again after reading these blogs with finds I went to my first and found my first vintage Singer 301 for 30.00...I guess it was meant to be...she was the only sewing machine at the sale and I went out looking for her.

I never see sales like this at any of the yards I am ever in!

I just hope I don't get addicted to yard sales now!

You did amazingly well. What you don't want, you can always resale to finance your habit.
