These six flip flop quilts were published as a series in Quiltmaker Magazine in 2010. I decided to challenge myself to make them with stash fabrics only, to make a change or addition to each quilt and to complete them all in 2010. I added the hst border to the snowflakes, I set the baskets and pears on point with pieced alternate blocks, the butterfly quilt has pieced borders top and bottom only to give it a rectangular rather than square shape, I made 16 sunflower blocks (the patterns always showed 9 blocks) and sashed them, and lastly, I sized the ornaments down to 4 blocks with pieced sashing and cornerstones so that I could complete it at 11:45 pm on 12-31-10. They were all great fun to make!

Very pretty colors. Beautiful work.

I love those. Funny thing when I read the title Flip Flop I was looking for "beachy" flip flops

All 6 are beautiful.

I know, me too, but that's what Quiltmaker called them so I stuck with their name for the series.
