My Jazzy Snazzy Sewing Chair

1 Attachment(s)
This was an old office chair I rescued from a prior job. I use it as a sewing chair. Decided the cover needed to be replaced and used some left over 9 patch swap blocks. Made leg covers because one leg had a sharp spot on it. Got my inspiration from Pinterest!

It turned out really nice. I have a chair like that and I've wondered about recovering the cushions. Was it hard to take apart and put back together. I often find that things come apart easy but the putting back together is where I get into trouble. Good job!

quilt addict 07-02-2013 01:19 PM

I was thinking about doing this to my office chair that I got on free cycle as the fabric is very worn and shiney. Not sure what they did to it but it looks like it is melted.

I was also wondering if you took the cushions off to do it like reupholster or made like slip covers?

PamS 07-02-2013 01:39 PM

FUN! Great recycling! Don't you just LOVE Pinterest!!!?

thequilteddove 07-02-2013 01:43 PM

I was wondering, my office chair has a big plastic back ... how do I get that off so I can recover the front???
