I like the whole thing, but the back is so perfect. :D my backs are never quite straight. so I keep them one color

Sharon, that's very sweet, I know she'll think of you everytime she gets under it. I particularly like the pieced back, I've never done it because I was afraid it wouldn't look good but that looks just fine.
BTW I like the front too! LOL

I love both sides, but the back is neat because your strips are sooo straight! And I like seeing all the quilting that doesn't really show up in the front. Nice job! I want one, whine, whine :!:

Thanks, sweet Friends, I did do all the quilting. Just plain old stitch in the ditch with a decorative wavy machine pattern for the outside of the blocks. It was a first for me in the stitch in the ditch. I have always pieced my backs, they just don't make fabric I like wide enough not to. I do hope Mom likes it, mail has it now and sure hope it arrives on Saturday or before. I like to surprise her once in awhile.

I'm sorry I've been missing so long. The hurricane Irene damage has still not been repaired so I've been fighting battles that I shouldn't have had to. I'm currently working daily in the office of the local USO so I'm really tired when I come home from there, plus still working deployments/homecomings, so time is hard for me to manage. Bear with me, I'll be back! I'm that bad penny that shows up when you least expect me...hahahaha

Thank you, Alice, tomorrow another milestone. I'm alive and still volunteering for the USO so life is good! I didn't get a message, I was at the USO Center all day yesterday and will be again today. It's a busy time there with our 70th Anniversary celebration coming up and our usual work for our military.
