Those ties are certainly from the 80s. They make a great quilt but can you imagine what they looked like with a suit? That's one style I hope doesn't come back. LOL |

I too have tons of my DH ties...most with a story in them. Ex. tie matching DD dress for father daughter dances.
I cannot bear to cut them up. have been thinking along your moms line but keeping them in tack. I will have to think on this a while more . thank you for sharing :) did she hand embroider or machine them? lot of thread changing if she machined. |

How do you assemble that? Is it sewn onto a foundation? Do you take out the "interfacing" of the ties? Maybe you can teach us how to do this.
