So yesterday some of you may remember my predicament of not being able to find my new can of basting spray. Someone told about "Pinmoors". Well, on my way home driving through Amish country this morning I had a bright idea; cut up packing peanuts and make my own "pinmoors". I'm gonna call them "no-pokes". Hope they show in the pictures. The fabric in the one is the table runner I was trying to make yesterday.

Very cleaver. Do the packing peanuts hold pretty well?

Interesting idea!

what's a pin-moor?
uh, duh...do you mean - pin more? lol  |
How do they hold for you?? I'm interested in how well they work. Saves a lot of $$$

No kidding! Dahhhhhhh. Why did I never think of that... I hate the surprise of that sharp stick you know is coming, you know it is going to hurt and you know it is going to happen again. I just can't get the tautness I want with safety pins so I know I am going to use straight pins and get stuck... You have put a great tool at my fingertips. Thank you. I will be using that idea. Now, did I toss those packing peanuts out????

What a great idea. You are so creative.

Is that so you can use straight pins to pin your quilts to be quilted, yet the ends of the pins are protected from stabbing you?
