My niece who is only 5 wanted to sew today so we made a ball!
She is so proud of her ball and I only helped she did it.

Here is her work. I think we have a future sewer on our hands :D

(ohh yea the ball used pentagons and said to hand sew them but she didnt want to do that so we sewed them on the machine. Talk about a challenging first project Y seams lol)

Cutting

Fantastic!!!! It's always great to see a little one take an interest... afraid we are going to lose out to video games and cell phones! That sounds like a topic for a new discussion...

She had so much fun. She has always liked sewing. She said that we should invite her brother next time but I told her that he doesn't like sewing he likes his DS(video game). What she said was so sweet.

"Maybe if we make him something he would like it more" aawwwwww
