We did some remodeling and bumped out a wall about 18 inches to make a nice deep laundry center off of the kitchen area. The original builder did not have this deep enough when the house was built thirty years ago.
West wall ----- laundry center with bi-fold doors East wall ----- sliders to deck overlooking lake North wall ----- kitchen peninsula (Craftman tool chest of drawers) South wall -----window, sewing machine, bookcase, small ironing board made by my grandfather when I was young Room in use --- let's get realistic -- homemade big board Closet for stash --- well, most of stash (down the hall, but still handy) west wall laundry center East wall with sliders to deck overlooking lake North wall kitchen peninsula I love my portable tools chests :-) |

I do not know how we all missed this post in July. I love your sewing room. I think having your sewing area in or very near the laundry area is so practical and that is what I originally wanted too. Your view is fabulous and your curtains are too cute!! Great space!!
