Ok ladies, it is a mess, but it is my extra small space, but I love it have out grown it. I want a quilting frame, but as you can see it won't fit in here. So I am waiting for my son to move out so I can have his room. This was a screened in back porch that, and I mean I put together, so raw boards and all. and I am no carpenter. But Can you see the birds out my window? A small piece of beauty out my sewing room window.

Lucymae 04-15-2011 04:39 PM

Your 'mess' looks like an artist's studio. My Sewing Room is DS old room...he's 36 now!!! Nice space! :D

katieranch 04-15-2011 04:39 PM

I thought mine was crowded...you win, lol. I have a quilting frame in my room, it is very crowded but I have been unable to talk my dh into giving up his space! Sometimes he is so inconsiderate, lol.

newquilter10 04-15-2011 04:40 PM

Love your space, mine is even smaller but I am glad to have it. I will have to work on making it better organized.

kacy 49 04-15-2011 04:46 PM

Love your machines. It may be small but your space is really organized and I love your work area.

Tinker Tots 04-15-2011 04:53 PM

Thank you ladies. I was in a very small bedroom with only a Bernina deco 650, and now I have all these machines, and now no space again. But I love I can shut the door and company can't see it. I can straighten it up and then start a quilt and hummmmm out the window organization went. I really look so forward to seeing and listening to you ladies. Can't wait to get home and look at new post., Really ladies thanks

LQS is Local Quilt Shop. Let me know if you are ever headed this way and we can get together. We only have 1 quilt shop now and Hancocks.

Tinker Tots 04-15-2011 06:05 PM

Ok, I will. And listen my daughter lives in Booneville, which is about 2 hrs from Columbus, and they have a really old house, but it is loaded with quilts and quilt fabric, very reasonable. I usually spend around $100, when I get back to the car, I say, I can't believe I did that, but I am always happy that I did, and we could go up there too. and then there is a very nice shop in Dekalb, ms and that is about hummm 1 hr going toward meridian, and it is stacked to the very top ceiling with fabric, but her fabric is $6-$12 a yrd, but great selection also. let me know. I work Do you?

debcavan 04-15-2011 06:08 PM

That sound like fun. I'm lucky not to have to work. I have sewed for others for years, but now do as I please with my time. We have to get together after my Mom goes home from her spring visit (in about 6 weeks). I'm adding you to my "Buddy List" if that's ok with you.

SuziC 04-16-2011 04:34 AM

Sure, I haven't added, really don't know how. I have just been watching the post.

Tinker Tots 04-16-2011 04:01 PM

The the extreme left, is my 6 needle babylock embroidery machine,Professional pro. I have had it ohh about 6 months, and the extreme right is my babylock ellegeo' embroidery machine, but I use it now for my sewing machine and quilting machine, until I can get a machine quilting frame. straight back is a bernina serger, and the other is a garage sale find singer for $25.00, and 3 have 1 more serger, and 2 cheap sewing machine hid, and I sold 2 very old and great bernina deco's, just gotta clean out. thanks for asking.

soccertxi 04-16-2011 04:05 PM

Love your cozy sewing room! When I was 1st married, my sewing machine 'lived' at one end of our dining table. My husband used to ask when the 'guest' was going to leave. Little did he know that the "guest' would get TWO ROOMS someday! My DD used to be stationed at Columbus AFB. She was there for 3 yrs. Too bad you were not a quilter then! Drat!

Tinker Tots 04-16-2011 04:10 PM

I love Columbus, the CAFB is very important to Columbus.

Grandma Peg 04-16-2011 05:23 PM

Always nice having your own room to create.

AVQuilter 04-16-2011 06:19 PM

Thanks for sharing...I think it looks great and a fun place to sew.
