I have to say that I had a really nice sewing room before, but now I have an AWESOME sewing room. My sewing room is located in the top of our garage and is approximately 14' X 20'. About 9 years ago, that was an unfinished spaced, so DH and I spent a few months finishing it.

This year I decided I wanted to give it a facelift and come up with better storage/organization. I painted the room and hubby and I made laminate counter tops. I got a book from the library and watched lots of videos on how to do the laminate countertop. Amazingly it wasn't too difficult to do. I used Kraft Maid cabinets that you assemble yourself and bought them at Lowe's.

The planning wall is actually the doors to my wardrobes which store my obscene amount of fabric. I made curtains for the window and the closet, and I also covered my ironing board in a coordinating fabric.

I finally have the sewing room of my dreams. :D

Wow, you sewing room is wonderful!!! Congratulations on having such a wonderful space to work and create in. I love your wrap around counter. And I think your huge design wall is perfect since it also hides your stash. After all you don't want your stash to get faded or dirty being out in clear sight. Enjoy using it.

But I know you must be grateful you have a room. My first was the space under the stairwell. I could slide in and slide out. :-D But it was mine and I could close the door and hide my work in progress. Now my space is the converted attic. I even have room for my Little Gracie frame and machine. I love it. :lol:
