Ok...I have a turning 20 quilt top (almost) finished. It is not quilted yet. My material choices got a little busy & I thought that maybe I should have used more solids in it...but I decided it will still be fun & not to worry about it. I actually have another border I will be adding so it is still a work in progress. Some of my pieces are paperpieced. The large light houses, the large whales & the large larger sailboats.

Very nice. Can't go wrong with blue.

Sweet!! Making it for anyone in particular or keeping it for yourself?

I'm going to keep this one. It has been put on the back burner for a long time now (probably because I'm making it for me). I don't have any quilts finished for myself yet. LOL How does that story go about the plumbers wife? I'm working on Christmas table runners now (or should be) & hope to quilt this after Christmas.

I rotated the photo in a different post...how silly! I'll rotate it in this post like I should have done to begin with.

I just love it when someone takes a pattern and does something special to make it their own. I'm crazy about what you did to this one to give it a nautical theme Pam. Really excellent work to make such a simple pattern go "wow"! :)

Looks like you did some fussy cutting with this one! Looks nice! Love the layout.

that really is a nice quilt. one to be proud of.
i like that flexible, portable quilt frame, too. |
I really like it! That is so cool 8) how you made some of the blocks with paper piecing!

That is an AWESOME quilt!! So much to look at. You did a great job designing it.

That is an awesome quilt! My SIL would LOVE this. You did a wonderful job paper piecing. I can't wait to see it all together!!! :)

Oh my gosh! I just realized that this one is also a "Turning Twenty" quilt. No wonder I liked it so much. :-o  8)

Nautical theme's are one of my favorites ;) ... Only difference is mine ususally have a light house or two in them  I LOVE light houses

That is a really fun quilt Pam! I have a few of those fabrics myself.
And no, it is not too busy. It is "All Things Nautical" like you wanted it to be. Good job! Be sure to post pics of the final version! Wendy |
Very Nice :D Love the piecing and the colors, good job! :D :D :D
|
I like yours very much, I like lots of different fabric and all the extras you put in........its just beautiful :D

Yes, it's nice to have a cooperative, flexible quilt frame. LOL It is very hard to get that flexible frame to be perfectly perpendicular. That frame just moans & groans sometimes!
|
I'm curious... what size is the square piece used in this? And are the blocks 16" finished?
I love your choice of fabrics! |
what a fun quilt!!
