Ladies, I have a very old quilt top that was hand stitched by my great aunt many years ago. I figure it to be somewhere around 50-60 years old, not sure. It was among my mothers sewing stuff, which I have had the mid 1970's. There are about a dozen hexs that have moth holds. A couple are fare size the rest are small & can be seen at close. Have thought of backing it with a knit fusable interfacing, (the whole top or just the ones that have holes or replace the damaged ones). Am looking for the best way to preserve it. It isn't very big, 65"x82".

If it were mine I would replace them. It's beautiful and worthy of saving

It's a gorgeous quilt! Repairing it would be tedious, but you'd be happy with your end results! Good luck!

i would replace any needing to be replacing with vintage fabrics as close as i could find then the interfacing idea for extra stability is never a bad idea...then a new batt and back- quilted-bound HEIRLOOM for another 100 years.
it is beautiful!

It don't appear altogether that bad , I would repair it the best way you can , you can also try adding strips to the colors that are in it as close to the colors all around it, that would make it larger to your desire..you will love it when its done..good luck, you have a prize from the past..
