Well after most of the children have moved out, DH has put up the nicest line ever.
We went out to the Amish in our area and purchased the wheels and the lines and the hold up brackets.
I have tried so many green clothes lines that end up stretching. Yesterday I was able to put 4 loads on the line and have it go up above our "chicken pasture". the ladder they used is still up by the Elm tree, I'm nervous a raccoon will climb up one side and down inside the pasture.
Its a great way to hang my quilts too.
The cost of the wheels and 75' of line, brackets was nearly $130, but gas for the dryer I'm sure it will balance out quickly.
Not sure you could find these on line, but he orders it somewhere.
Now if I only had diapers to hang again, NOT!

Sorry, I can't see your photo:< We have had a clothes line for about a year and by comparing bills etc. We figure we save upwards of $500 a year on our utility bill by not using the dryer!

Can't use a clothes line here in the desert because everything would end up looking like bleached bones.

I grew up with that type of clothes line. It ran between our house and the barn. Had one here but it was attached between a tree and the house. Well birds in the tree pooped on the clean laundry-stopped me from hanging out clothes to dry-lol. Hope you have better luck.

I remember the cloth diapers and towels and sheets too! I wish I had room for one of these. You lucky lucky woman you!
I had to stop having an outdoor clothesline due to asthma with sons and myself. Bummer!

Jealous! I have been asking my DH to make me a clothes line for over a year with no luck. He keeps telling me "it's on the list" which was a popular saying of my Dad's LOL. Maybe I could tell him about how much we could save and he would move it to the top of the list! With all this heat we've been having it would definately save me some time too! :)
