Here is a table runner that I just finished last night -- it was from a kit.

Very nice! I'm about to start on my first runner. Hopefully I'll get finished in time for Christmas.

I've said it before, but oh, that cat is gorgeous!
Table runner is nice, too, but hey, what's important here? The cat, of course! Okay, the table runner really is nice. Like your pattern and especially the border fabric! |
very nice!! Your kitty reminds me of the one I had growing up!
|
Beautiful Joyce!! :) And it looks like your quilting companion agrees! LOL

I'm going to do the Christmas Wonderland table runner by Maggie & Sharon. It's a free pattern I found online and will go nicely with the Christmas tree quilt I plan on making. I think.

Love your cat's tablerunner. I like how you used fancy stitching for the quilting. Did you do this with the feed dogs up or down? I cannot for the life of me do FMQ--too anal. Maybe this is something I could do. Your runner is beautiful. Thanks for sharing your picture.

Jan, thank you! The cat did get peeved at me when I made him get off... Feed dogs were up -- you know all those fancy stitches you've never used on your sewing machine? Well, these were some of mine :D :D I used a big open toed foot and tried out various lengths and widths with the different stitches. It was fun! (I can't do FMQ either.....) |
Love it when you post pics sewjoyce because it's always a "twofer". I get to oogle the handsome Emile and get to see your lovely work. This table runner is very pretty, love the colors and especially like the fancy stitching accenting some of the piecing.

Beautiful table runner. Cute cat. Did you say you bought it as a kit or a kitten?
|
Love the inspector!! :D
Your runner is so pretty...Love the stitching you did. It adds to it. |
Pretty, pretty! I like the cat, too.
|
Very nice
|
No pictures of yours would be complete without Emile!!!
I really love the runner. Your quilting stitch is so pretty -- I think something like that adds so much to the appearance, don't you? I've recently been playing with many different stitches, too. And once I get my machine back from the repairman (if I ever do!) I plan on doing a decorative stitch on a binding. |

I like the way you used the embroider stitches along the seam line. Your runner is beautiful, and so is your little pal. This is a cat who obviously had impeccable taste!
|
Very nice runner, the kitty is a wonderful accent although the first picture didn't do much justice to your runner.
Isn't it amazing that our pets always "go" for the project we're working on.....They must know the project is important to Mom. Kitty is beautiful, BTW..... |
