Here is my latest tulip bag. I made it with a pair of my hubby's old jeans and my first project for keeps using my new-to-me embroidery machine! I also made 2-sided straps for this one too.

How pretty! What pattern did you use?

knlsmith 07-26-2010 07:30 AM

2 hour tulip by Janice Pope. I make and sell these bags. They are so fun to make. They can get a little thick under the foot of a machine, but if you take your time it's just fine. I have a Janome 1600 and it will sew anything. It is almost as special to me as my H3 truck.

COOL! I love the idea and especially love your choice of alternate color! Good job!

That's a really cute bag. Great re-use of jeans.

Your bag looks different from the Janice Pope style, did you just place the straps at a different end? I like the way the sides go in with yours.

It's the same. I only did a trim on the pocket, 2 sided straps and embroidery on the back.

Oh, the reason the sides go in is because I have the button fastened. I just folded them in on the sides. I think that's what you mean. Well, i think any way. LOL my friends say it's dangerous when i think. ;)

I sell them for between 25 and 45 dollars. Depends on embroidery and any special request. Most of them are 30. PM me if you would like more info. I have tons of fabric. 95% of my fabric is quilt shop.
