Nine Patch Plaid
I made this little table topper for a friend's son who is getting married this month. I have no idea what their colors/likes are, so it's this or cash. What do you think? Would it be better to stick a gift card in an envelope? I do care that they appreciate the gift, I just have no idea what they like. I've never even met the bride.

Maybe you can call your friend and ask her opinion? The quilt is gorgeous, but if you will feel hurt if they don't appreciate it, cash might be better.

WOW - Just lovely, great job and thank you for sharing. I would call my friend as PaperPrincess suggested.
Have a Blessed day

It would be a shame for that little charmer to go to a home where it wasn't loved. Do ask your friend if the couple would like it. 95% of the young ones I know would adore to have that, but there is one niece who only likes things from one special catalog.

That is so pretty. Thanks for sharing.

My vote? If you like it you keep it cuz YOU will use it. Gift card for happy couple

That is a great design... Don't waste it unless you are sure they will like and use it. I'd keep it and give money, if it were me!

I've been studying other quilter's work for years now. This is sort of what Karen McTavish does. I like it on table runners because it flattens the quilt and makes it stiff. I do not like it on "real" quilts--those for cuddling under.
Thanks everyone for your opinions. It's looking more and more like the happy couple will get a gift card and never know what they missed. lol

It's very pretty - but who knows about the couple? Cash is usually well-received!
