This is what I've done so far. Not too bad considering I was flying by the seat of my pants and didn't have a clue what I was doing at the time.

Baby quilt for a co-worker. Not too bad for a first try.

T-shirt quilt (unfinished) for a friend whose father passed away last fall. She didn't want to get rid of the shirts but knew it was time. It was a good compromise.

I just wish I had the Pfaff then instead of that !@#!#$!# old Kenmore.

Welcome to the Board from Memphis TN!
I love the baby quilt, that is what I'm hung up on right now.

I admire your tshirt quilt. I've had several ask me to do one and I wouldn't try it. Seems too difficult to me.

Thanks. I love baby things in general. I have several others planned, but I have other projects to finish first.

The tshirt quilt really isn't as difficult as it sounds. :) Iron the interfacing to the back--use the stuff just thicker than feather-weight. Cut the large blocks--mine were 16" square. Sew the sashing. Keep your iron hot and handy because some of the interfacing will try to come loose as you're manhandling it.

If I can do it with my lack of experience, you definitely can. Grab a couple of old, worn, stained t-shirts that are ready for the trash bin and experiment. :) I think you'll be surprised at how well the stretchy material behaves with the stuff ironed to the back.

Beautiful work! You don't look like a beginner. Was the t-shirt quilt hard? I've saved two shirts so far!
