not quite twin quilts in pink
 

I started another post about a friend having twins. I made pink quilts for her, then received the shower invitation stating the nursery would be farm animals, barn red, yellow, cream, and green. Even though I know my gift does not have to match the nursery - I want it to outlast it! - I knew I had a top already pieced that would be perfect for one of them and a friend had similar fat quarters for the second one. So here are the pink quilts I had already made for them - just waiting now for some little baby girls I don't know about yet. The patterns are 3-yard patterns from Fabric Cafe. Minky on the back - no batting. The Pokey Little Puppy fabric is from fabric.com

There is not much quilting in them since they don't have batting. I just zigzagged around sections of the blocks.

What a clever idea for twins! I think I would have given them, they are adorable!

These are super cute! The babies will love them, and cuddle them, and drag them....... :)

It's funny, but I've written before about my quilts talking to me. These pink quilts were MEANT for this new mom. I bought the fabric with her in mind. BUT... the whole time I was working on them they just didn't feel right. When I pulled out that farm animal top it was ... right! She absolutely loved them at last week's shower. They got the biggest AWWWWWW from the group - all good! These pink ones will speak to me someday and find the perfect home.

All of the quilts you did for the babies are adorable! It was so nice of you to do the farm ones for her!

I really like twin quilts that are similar but not the same. Nice job. I think I'd have given them too. Not everything has to be matchy matchy in the nursery!
