I finally finished my " Not your grandmother's tumbling blocks" quilt for my son. I started it a few years ago and am pleased that it is finally done. I sure love the "pop" of colors.

I love tumbling blocks and yours are beautiful. Jenny from Missouri Star Quilt Co. has said she plans to come out with a tutorial on them soon. I hope it is easy enough for me to give it a whirl.

Love the colors, the bright yellow and then the darker shades of other colors. I feel like I could pluck a block out of there.

This is not a traditional tumbling blocks. It is strip pieced. The creator is Baker (Marge, I think) I first saw it about 8 years ago on Simply quilts. So no Y connections but still a lot of angles to deal with cutting and joining just so.
