I found the main fabric (panel, luckily not applique) several years ago, but if you google "Nutcracker Suite" you will find it in several locations. It was made by Northcott. When I made the quilt I found fabrics at several different places, so it was kind of a search over several years.

Enjoy ... Happy Holidays!

I intend to make a lap robe like yours some day..right after I finish the 40 or so that I have in mind to start soon. Real soon. Maybe.

My son collects nutcrackers as well! He started when he was 6 and went to see the ballet with my mother and I. He has no desire to see the ballet anymore - he is 13 now and it's just not cool. But he has a great collection - some little that hang on the tree and his biggest one is about 3 feet tall. I can't recall the name of the company but it makes VERY expensive nutcrackers. they make a BoyScout one that is about $400 - I plan on getting that for him when he makes eaglescout in a few years along with a quilt from all the Robert Kaufman scouting fabrics I have stashed away in my sewing room.

Great quilt! I introduced my 3 year old granddaughter to nutcrackers this year. We had looked at a bunch of wooden ones in this one store and as we were leaving, there was a big inflated nutcracker. She said to me: "Grams -look - there is a cracked nut!"
