Oh thanks for showing this as a big picture!! Even looks better than the avatar. Have you used the serpentine stitch (aka 3 pt zigzag)? I up the length to 2 and decrease the width to 2 on my Bernina. It makes a nice stitch to criss cross diagonally through a block. I use it often for LC's. Really helps disquise the oops in LC's!
If you wanted you could small stipple in either the large colored pieces of each block or the small colored pieces. It would make each block pop just a bit more, IMHO.
Ok 4", what sizes are the corner squares? 3/4" finished? Great job, N. G

Oh and thanks for adding it to the Miniature section. It's how I found it!

The corner 4-squares are 1-1/4", each little square in the 4-square is 5/8". I'm going to be deciding how to finish this and get it done.

I love your mini. I agree that a diagonal grid would probably look very good.

i love mini's too. i once tatted/crocheted an afghan for a doll house. that's as small as i'll go! but the dq's are big enough to need some skill, and small enough to finish in a short amount of time. almost instant gratification! that's a really beautiful mini!
