I got all excited about making the potato bags I heard about from the quilting board so I googled potato bags and found they are really easy to make and not very expensive. I used all 100% cotton materials and no dyed materials incase the recepients were worried about toxins, etc.

How cute is this...are they to store potatoes? I've never heard of this before!!

They are used to bake potatoes and other things in the microwave. You can bake corn on the cob, winter squashes, warm up rolls or tortillas, etc.

I don't but some people might. The paper towel usually picks up any bad things but I don't always wash my dish clothes or dish towels everytime I use them as some of my friends do.

I use a special plate to cook them on. I'm afraid the bag may catch on fire.

I have some instructions that my mom had given me. I don't wash my bag every time I use it and I don't have a special plate to put mine on in the microwave. I just use the turn table plate that came with the oven. I used Warm and Natural in the 2 that I have made.
