I finished this yesterday but forgot to post a pic. I only made 3 pockets mostly because I have big hands and wanted to be able to get down into the pocket. The scissor one speaks for itself. But I wanted one of these for my new Brother I just purchased (in pic) and thx to feffertim for posting a pic of hers. Also thx to alikat110 for telling me what these things were called! Looks like I forgot to wipe off one little chalk mark, oops!

Very nice!! What do you call the things that have a pin cushion on top and a trash bag on the bottom?

OK I'll guess a pin cushion w/a trash bag underneath!

annthreecats 08-09-2011 10:54 AM

I call it a tool caddy.

Oh that is so pretty, and oh so useful. I like the way it is held under your machine, and then hanging over where you have it right there. Is that a pin cushion on the right side of it? What kind is it if it is?

Very Nice organizer.

the "thing" that has a pin cushion on top & trash bag on the bottom is called a "Scrap Bag". By the way they are also Great for "litter bags" in the autos.

Very nice job and looks so handy. Does your sewing machine move around on the mat, or do you have something on bottom that is nonskid?

Polly, actually I have that gripper cloth (again, dunno what it's called  ) underneath to keep it from sliding around. My memory is going south so I dunno what anything is called anymore but by golly I can describe it to you!

Yeppers June, a pin cushion, just a plain 'ol tomato pin cushion with little Chinese babies (look like little samurai's to me) on the sides.
