Last Thursday was my birthday. DH told me if I could wait until taxes came back for my gift, he had a surprise for me.
Well tonight, I got the surprise! He took me to a LQS and told me to buy enough fabric and supplies for 4 quilts! Whoopee! Woof! Woof! I started looking and had a real problem settling for just 4! I did myself proud. I did however, forget to buy thread :oops:. Tell me what you think....All the colors are much brighter than they appear. C'mon spring! This is for the reqested quilt for DN, Pink, Orange, and Yellow were her colors. [ATTACH=CONFIG]149583[/ATTACH] Fabric for other DN, her colors are light blue, yellow and white. Interesting -- YOUR birthday gift was 3 sets of fabrics, but only one of those was really for YOU! Isn't it interesting that we consider fabric that we will make something from to give away as a gift!?! I know I do the same thing, so it must be having the opportunity to make something for someone else is the 'gift' we get. I didn't say that very well, but I hope you see what I mean.

The last picture is the same fabric I purchased and made placemats, pillowcases and pot holders. I love it! Be sure and show us the finished quilt.
