The first little quilt was for my son who loves to ride his 4 wheeler. I put him in the corner of the quilt.
The second quilt ended up for my husband. It was just sampler squares we made at our quilt club. I changed out some fabrics in the squares and embroidered on some other fabric that I brought in to it. My husband likes it.

Your ocean/seascape looks real; like the waves are coming right out of the picture. Love it.

Me, too! Those are both awesome. It's wonderful when people share their creations with us on the board. I'll be watching for more...also for response on the picture of your handsome son on his four wheeler! :) Blessings!

Lovely! Those quilts are awesome! Your avatar looks like my beagle. Was it an easy pattern by any chance?

Jim's Gem 12-30-2010 11:26 AM

They are all beautiful!

 :D  great work!!

Yes my beagle pattern was very fun and relaxing. Getting all your fabrics together is the hard part. Some times I will paint fabric to blend in. Then just get out your threads and have fun. That is what brings it all together. Check out Picture Quilts by Sharon Malec or www.malec-designs.com

Thanks, I am going to do that but it sounds above my level of quilting :)

Nice touch using the eyelash yarn for the surf--very realistic.

joanne1 12-30-2010 10:40 PM

The little quilt that I put my son on was done by printing a picture on some fabric meant to go thru a printer. I just cut out what I wanted, used my glue stick to tack it down, then did a little sewing on it.

zelda2 12-31-2010 03:07 AM

very nice!!!!

bobbiessusu 12-31-2010 03:39 AM

What an interesting application of the yarn representing the waves on your son's quilt.....I love everything about that little art quilt! Really unique!
