I posted the pictures in my original posting in the "main" category but thought I would post them here also. I took the picture of the back of quilt in to the sun and the picture shows the diagonal piecing line of the backing that I cut and pieced using the Flynn method.
(I was short on yardage and he has a 'formula' to show how to cut the fabric on the diagonal to fit.) The back showing the piecing line The front of Bella's Cinderella quilt |

Adorable quilt :D:D:D

I use this method all the time. Saves on yardage and it's easier to quilt on a frame than straight seams.

So cute

I, too, use John Flynn's diagonal piecing for a lot of my backs on smaller quilts. They work so much better in a LA frame than straight seams. I also like the looks of of. Oh, I really like your quilt, too. So cute!

I did forget to say that the quilt front is a Cinderella book panel I got at Walmart, the kind you make a soft book out of. I know the green doesn't match perfectly but Isabella's favorite color right now is green!

Gorgeous quilt!
I have to check that link, never heard of diagonal piecing for backings. |
