Thanks for everyone's votes! That's 25 votes for sashing and 16 for no sash. I think I'll try the sashing - I want to see more of the pinwheels and less of the secondary effects of them touching in the middle. I'll post again soon!

I like pinwheels without sashing as another pattern emerges. Would go with a border to finish it off. Great job I love pinwheels.

To be honest the only reason I use sashing with a pinwheel is to avoid having to line up all those seams. Just a personal preference for me. Now having said that! I think yours looks great just like it is. Very beautiful.
