Possibly the wildest string quilt ever!
1 Attachment(s)
Well, I finally finished it. My wild string quilt, made with all my stray flannel scraps from comforters large and small over the years. I used the waxed paper method, think I will try the muslin method next, just to see which I prefer. As you can see I knotted it instead of quilting. Wild but will keep someone warm.

It's wonderfully scrappy! It's the kind of quilt you want to snuggle in on a cold, rainy night with a book and mug of hot chocolate. Thanks for sharing.
|
I think it's grrrrrrrreat! Also, what is the wax paper method?
|

I've not heard of a wax paper method but if it's like foundation piecing or paper piecing, i sort of get it. great quilt!

It is wild but wonderful

I guess i wasn't so clear, but the wax paper method is using waxed paper for a foundation. Other members have posted tutorials, and steered me to a great website and blog-quiltville.com by Bonnie Hunter. She gives great pictures and very easy directions.
