Afterwards, 3 of us went to a thrift store for great bargains, found lots of battenburg lace and vintage hankies & such for 50cents-$1! Then Barbara & I continued on to a couple of antique stores, where my "FIND" of the day came, 17 shabby chic vintage 30's repr. dresden plates for $9.99!!!! EEEEEK! Have decided to make a King quilt with them for my bed! Yippeeee! Uh oh, what am I getting myself into? I never make anything for myself! Hee hee! Thanks QB for the wonderful friendships formed today, yesterday and tomorrow! Love it! :thumbup:

That is awesome that you found each other from the "Board". The Dresden block are going to make a beautiful quilt. Question of the day........... Why do we have enough time to make quilts for other people and not enough time to make quilts for ourselves.... and when we do we feel guilty????
