Hopefully this will work, as it is my first time posting a picture.
My DH & I just returned from Nebraska which of course Mom took gifts. One being this quilt, which they loved.
I love looking at all of the beautiful quilts here, and thank you for letting me share mine.

Very pretty. Did you do the Eleanor Burns one? I bought the book, but haven't been brave enough to tackle it yet. Was it hard?

Thank to everyone for the beautiful replies. Yes, it is Eleanor Burns "Quilt in a Day" pattern...I have quite a few of her books. Love them. I used the AccuQuilt GO cutting out all the strips, & I love that little machine.
I wanted to clear up the Mom error.. I am the Mom & what I meant I took a lot of gifts beside the quilt. Had embroidered aprons and monogram towel set for them also. We also met our dear new member of the family our Great-granddaughter Isabelle. She turned 1 yo April 26 & is walking & jabbering plus being a little doll. Thanks again for the nice comments, now that my DH has taught me (I think) how to download pics I'll be adding more. I really enjoy this Quilting forum! Wanda

ToucanSam 05-22-2010 09:19 AM

SOO pretty! And now I want to make one. :) How many different shades of blue fabric? I gotta go back and count but I'll probably miss one...

:)

belmer 05-22-2010 09:37 AM

Fabulous quilt, those blues are perfect together. I love the pattern also!

littlehud 05-22-2010 12:19 PM

That is beautiful. Great job.

fabricluvr 05-22-2010 02:38 PM

Beautiful! I also have this book and can't wait to make one!

Wanda_GA 05-22-2010 02:40 PM

Thanks again everyone.

ToucanSam, you will need four different fabrics, two light and two dark, but yeardage is not all equal. Do you have the book?

Jem65, hi to another Georgia Peach! I live in Valdosta, real south from you. And I do know where Conyers is. We lived a long time in Locust Grove, GA.

Dorothy of Kansas 05-23-2010 05:19 AM

Ohhh, that came out great. I love the Lover's Knot and it's pretty quick to make...like a half Log Cabin...and only four colors to work with.

Quilter2B 05-23-2010 08:06 AM

Very pretty! I bought this book a few months ago from Eleanor Burns. Haven't decided yet what colors to uses but your turned out gorgeous! Thanks for the inspiration.

ann clare 05-23-2010 10:00 AM

Really beautiful

gingerella 05-23-2010 10:41 AM

I have made this quilt a few times. Always made a king size one, and they are HUGE. But they do make a lovely and very quick wedding gift if one is needed.

I also like to use Eleanor Burns' books. One of my favorites is the pinwheel one in which she teaches how to make a pinwheel with three different fabrics. . I can't for the life of me locate that and would surely like to "remember" how that's done.

nwm50 05-23-2010 10:58 AM

I want a Accquilt now! Everybody is making so many pretty quilt & using these systems. Love your blue's!

Kellie G 05-23-2010 12:18 PM
