Looks great. Looking forward to seeing it in fabrics!!!

Beautiful Jerrie. I also am going to make a log cabin for our king bed...but all brown, blue and cream. I have had the fabric for almost 2 years, but have had way too many other obligations. I just love how the log cabin is so versatile. I have made a couple of others.

It is going to look great. Don't you just love EQ? I just made up the picture for my next project. It is a "Hole in the Barn Door" on point. You can see it under the title "Anne's Next Project".

My grandmother used to make Log Cabin quilts. She always told me that the center square should be red... the hearth ... the center of the home. warm and providing comfort to the home... the logs.. both light and dark .. the good and the bad in life.. EQUAL!! and the many many ways to assemble the blocks represents the many choices we have in life..

Quilt4u 01-04-2010 08:16 AM

Very nice.

Cute, I hope I have time this year to do one.

Jingle 01-05-2010 05:16 AM

I made a scrappy log cabin quilt a few years ago and gave it to DGD friend who has a bad Mom and Grandma and put out by her Dad and Step-Mom to make room for her kids. She loved it so much and was so appreciative. Made me feel real good.
