Your quilt turned out beautifully. I hadn't been on my computer for almost a week so have had lots of quilts to look at today.

Very pretty! I too have been given some heavy fabric samples that I plan on making quilts for camping.

I always eye those sample booklets:p I wonder what they do with them when they renew with new lines...

very nice. I bought a bunch of samples myself and didn't know what to do with them. But being heavy and after seeing yours I think a floor rug would be really nice. or a table cover, thank you for the idea, I can get mine out now.

In many cases, I think they will give you the sample booklets if you ask, particularly if you will be using them for charity items. The pieces that I got are much larger than are typically in booklets. They came from a showroom where professional decorators go to select fabrics, not from one open to the general public. Many of them are 27" square or thereabouts. I understand that the samples often go to students at design schools, or to teachers at public schools. A local furniture store gave a lot of samples to a women in my guild, and we used them to make bags for ladies at the abused women's shelter. We were told they often show up with nothing to carry their few belongings in, and the bags were a big hit. That may be the eventual use of much of the fabric I got, although currently we're investigating whether it would work well for wheelchair bags for the VA hospitals.

That is really cool. I love things made with unusual fabrics

Great idea and thank you for sharing. Those samplers are also great for purses.
Have a Blessed day
