I finished piecing the top yesterday. I can't wait to quilt this for him, but I'm in the middle of replacing my leaders on my longarm and adding a zipper system, so it might not happen for a week or two.
The original pattern idea came from the book "Scrap Basket Surprises" and the quilt pattern is "Bali Sea Stars". I added sashing and cornerstones to make the starts "float" and the outer black and ivory borders. |
Wow, that looks fantastic - I absolutely love it! Your colour choices work really well and I especially like the way the borders finish it. Great job! :)

Wow, that is a beautiful quilt. The colors are perfect for a guys quilt but they are some of my favorites too. I can't wait to see how it looks after quilting. Keep us posted.
