A Quilt for My Son's New Home

1 Attachment(s)
I purchased this kit from Keepsake Quilting and finally finished it this week. I gave it to my son for his new home. I had to hang it sideways on the clothes line to take the photo of it.
Hope you like it

Love the quilt!!! Blues with beiges & rusts is one of my favorite color combinations. What is the name of the pattern? That looks like one I would like to make.

Barb it is Smokey River from Keepsake Quilting, the fabric is all Stonehenge. The only adjustment I made to the pattern was to add a strip of beige to either side of the quilt to make the nine patch blocks at the top and bottom fit, the pattern had them chopped off to fit the quilt top.

No it was pieced using 2 1/2 inch strips, so easy to do. The hardest part was sorting the fabric into lights and darks, as some of them were in the medium range

WOW! MiraB you've created another awesome quilt!

And all Stonehenge fabrics ... I love the shading effects they give and it's fantastic what they have created in this quilt.

Glad that you did not follow the pattern ... I can't imagine cutting off those 9Ps on point! :)

I often look at the Keepsake catalog and ponder this particular quilt. It turned out beautifully. Makes me want to get this kit... which says alot since I do not order kits.

Thank you
Postage from the US to Australia takes about 2 weeks normally, 6 weeks is the longest I have had to wait and 6 days is the shortest.
