Thanks Sulabug I did this a couple of years ago for my son and DDIL and they loved it. So did my 3 grandsons.

Thanks for the info. I do not remember the name but picked it because it the center was just right for putting in the photos
Thank you for the kudos. I loved doing this quilt. It was so much fun to put together. It is the one that really got me to love quilting, been doing it ever since. Quilting inspires the painter in me. I paint in oils and have done portraits of all 3 of my grandsons. Quilting is like painting with fabric. That and stained glass does the same thing for me. Maybe I will post some of my work sometime.

Thank you for the compliment. My 3 babies loved it too. They loved picking out their photos.
Never noticed before but on the close up of the hand quilting, which by the way did not show up that well, I can not believe what a manicure I needed, LOL

Amma:
Thank you so much. I picked out all the fabric but the pale purple. One of the girls that owned the quilt shop where I use to go picked that color out. I thought she was nuts until I put it next to all the other fabrics and then I said Wow that is lovely. My DDIL loves purple so it worked out great.

SandPat, yes it is. I did post it in the thread that asked to see your first quilt but posted it here again because Wartycrawfish sent me a PM asking what the block was called in my avatar and I did not know so I posted it again for her. Thanks for the compliment it means a lot to me.
I learn so much on this forum.

Mplsgirl 05-22-2009 03:36 AM

What a beautiful job! How did you do your photos on fabric to get them to turn out so colorful and clear?

Bevanger 05-22-2009 03:44 AM

its a churn dash. i was just looking at the pattern myself thinking of making it

sandpat 05-22-2009 03:53 AM

Brought Photo transfer paper that let you iron on to fabric at Office Depot, used a very pale cream color Egyptian Cotton cause it was so smooth to transfer to and used my sister's HP ink jet photo printer. The photos really came out crisp and clear. Thanks for the compliments.

I will say it was easy and it would be a nice pattern if you have a focus pattern too, at least I think so.
