Here is a link to the warm wishes pattern. Basically if you turn some of the rail fence blocks you will have it. Great beginner quilt

Oh, I found it, how different it looks, with just the spin of two of the strip sets. Thank you! Now I can offer a choice of placement!

I second the motion for a warm wishes lay out for your design -- it really stands out when viewing the quilt from a few feet away. That way you can still make the same blocks, just lay them out slightly differently. It's perfect for beginner quilters. Good for you for teaching them!

I like this pattern and that you've included a large block for the main fabric. It should really show off her dog fabric and you can show them how to fussy cut if that will improve the overall look. Good idea for a beginner class.
