This is a quilt top I just finnished from a 30's block swap, for some reason my final border is a little wavey?? Any help as to what I did wrong ??

Top came out beautiful!! As far as the wave I am wondering if it has something to do with the difference in the give of the two different materials?

Not sure, was thinking maybe it's the vintage 30's fabric???

You may want to ask your quilt inspector-he seems intent on it :-)

The wave just adds character to your wonderful top.

I'm too inexperienced to be able to help with the border, but I do like your quilt top. Very nice! Looks like someone else likes it, too!

Did you measure across the middle of the quilt and not the edge? If you measured the edge instead it could make your border wavy.
Try measuring across the middle and easing in where needed to make it fit.
I always heard that's what needed to be done but naturally I had to learn the hard way. lol
