Quilted Computer Chair Cover

3 Attachment(s)
I'm currently visiting my brother in Arizona and his computer chair is sturdy and cushy, however its not all that great to look at with the wear and tear of use and shredded chair fabric. So this is my attempt to make a quilted cover for it. The bagginess of it is to allow addition pillows under neath to cush my tush..

I am still trying to decide if I should cover the arms which are plastic or just finish off the bottom and sides of seat. ??? Thoughts or comments always appreciated.:thumbup:

looks great - i'm not sure I'd worry about the arms but if you do, youcan try an idea I saw the other day for a quilted steering wheel cover - once it's done, stitch in a layer of non-skid shelf covering material to both pad and keep the fabric from slipping....or if you just are looking at the issue of color, there are good paints on the market designed for plastice that would work to hide the black.

Thanks for the idea, your cover is so nice. I would like to cover an older as well.

i wouldn't cover the arms... it would cause more pull on the seat and would become more soiled than the rest of it. nicely done so far.

Thanks QuiltnNan - Those are the reasons I am reluctant to make arms.

How unique, Jenniky!
ITA ... leave the arms as is, as they get a lot of use and abuse and would be shabby far sooner than the rest of the chair. Are you going to scotchguard the chair once finished?

I would cover the arms with a few covers of batting. Then when you sit back pins can be stuck n them as you hand sew.

Looks really good, I agree I would not do arms.

I think it looks really cute. The arms look ok to me so I don't think I would cover them.
