I wanted to try and quilt a quilt on the embroidery machine. I just finished this and I don't think I would do another one. Alot of moving around. This was a guild mystery quilt from Fons and Porter mag.

don't know if you can see quilting or not

It sure is a beautiful quilt

very pretty!

I know what you mean, Linda - I've only done one, and although it came out nice, it was an awful lot of re-hooping, re-aligning, etc. I shouldn't say never, but the probability of doing another one that way is very small :D You did a beautiful job on yours!

It looks good. I have looked at all the quilting designs for sale out there and wondered about the reality of using them on a larger quilt. Logistically it looks like a pain to me. Yours did turn out beautiful though. I might have to try it on a baby quilt.

It really turned out pretty!! Yeah, I can imagine it would be a pain in the rear to keep rehooping so much!!

Wow. That is awesome. Lots of hard work, but the result is beautiful.

Very pretty! I'm still too chicken to do that.

I like this quilt, it is very pretty!! I actually saw an episode of Fons & Porter where they were making this quilt!!

It is very pretty!! I think you should do it again...and again...and again  :D

the quilt is very pretty and I love the quilting. However not having an embroidery machine I can only imagine how much work that must have been. But from my viewpoint it was worth all your hard work.

Very nice! I have an embroidery machine, so I can appreciate the time and patients in aligning each design. You've done a magnificent job!

It is so beautiful. Love the quilting!

Linda,

It sure is a pretty finished product. The blocks quilted out very nice even though it took you a lot of work to do it, the end speaks for itself. Very nice quilting of the blocks. I love the geometric flowers ...so spring!

I see your post was a while ago but I am searching for info on this very technique. My sample blocks were not satisfactory in that the second line of stitching didn't match the first. The rehooping also seemed tedious unless I'm working on something else at the same time on my other machine. And last, I'm wondering if you were satisfied with how the embroidery looked on the back. If you could encourage or discourage me, I would appreciate it before I plunged forward with this or decided to try fmq instead. Thanks
