Nice job Henry...You will get "hooked" on making them!

Postcards from WWI....those must be real treasures for you, Loretta!

Here is a link to my photos.... http://flickr.com/photos/blewbird/

The first two photos each contain 4 postcards that I mailed out for my Christmas cards this year....I made a total of 60!!! The tree is paper pieced... all the others are drawn with pigma pen and then colored with crayon and heat-set. The inside stiffner is Timtex. The ALL made it through the mail with no problems....I did spray each one with a clear spray paint so they wouldn't get dirty in the mailing process.

Betcha can't make just one!

Carol,
They were beautiful. :)

Thank you Henry :D

Have you sent any through the mail yet? There are some guidelines that the Post Office requires....must be "under" 1/4" thick...must be 4" x 6" and must have the words "POST CARD" on the back where your writing is. Then you can place one of the self-stick post card stamps on it above the address and place them in the mail! Be sure you secure the edges of your fabric so the fabric doesn't peel.

You will soon be looking for "subject matter" to put on your cards! Little miniature patterns (paper pieced) work really well. Each card then becomes its own little personal quilt.
