Quilted sweat shirt
1 Attachment(s)
I had an itch to do another quilted sweat shirt. This was a hoodie, but I couldn't figure out how to put the hood back on. So this is just a pull over quilted sweat shirt with pockets on the front. Now if it will just get cool enough to wear it here in Florida lol
I hope this works. I'm trying to do this with my phone lol |
WOW - Thats terrific, great job and thank you for sharing
Have a Blessed day Ellen |

You'll be glad to have it in the occasional cool weather. Will keep you looking stylish and warm!
Thanks, everyone. It does scream, I am a quilter, huh lol
It's beautiful! You did a great job on it! Yes, it does scream quilter - wear it proudly!!
Wow, beautiful!! How did you do that?
I used this tutorial from this board....
http://www.quiltingboard.com/tutoria...t-t102578.html I put the binding on before I put the sweat shirt back together. Which I really like doing better. Not as much bulk!

Wow that's a lot of work and I bet it was fun!
nice... did you have to take the shirt a part ... add the pieces and then sew it back together?????
Diane, yes. I took the sweat shirt apart by following the tutorial that I posted earlier. It was easy to take apart. :)
Your shirt looks good, the colors are great.
great job!
Very cute. Love the fabrics. Clever idea to use a hoodie. I would have been trying to quilt the hoodie as well, but your idea to remove the hoodie is so much better. Love the pouch pocket for your hands on this one.
Lovely shirt--I hadn't seen them done like this before. Great idea. I love your colors.
Nice job on the sweatshirt. Love the colors you used. Thanks for sharing your beautiful creation.
Thank you everyone. I used some civil war fabrics that I have been wanting to use for something special, and this is what I came up with. I really wanted to keep the hoodie for it, but I could not figure out to put that back on. So I ditched the hoodie. Ah well....

Cute, nice job

Cute, cute, cute. Thanks for sharing.
It looks great, did you quilt over a sweatshirt? Was it hard to do?
I want to try making a sweatshirt jacket...hopefully in the next few months. Your's is great!
Very cool! Just love the colors and the design!
Very cute. I've also made them into a little jacket by slashing them down the front.
I love your color combination. It is really nice.
Cute, and love the pocket. I am lost without one and most quilted jackets don't seem to remember them.
Super cute quilted sweatshirt.
wow-I love it.It is cool enough up here in northern,Wi. hint ,hint, lol
Nice job, oh I am sure you will get plenty of time to wear it as fall gives way to winter, even in Florida.
I want one!!! Can you tell us briefly how to make it?
great job,
Thank you everyone. I copied and pasted the tutorial on the first page. I just took the sweat shirt apart and then flip sewed my pieces on to the shirt pieces.
Very nice quilted sweat shirt. I have made three of them with buttons on the front. A friend has made a pullover similar to yours. I am in Florida too, and it is very comfortable.
