So glad they were located and not damaged. I bet you were worried silly over them. It is a happy new year for you!

glad they are safe !!!!

I am afraid it would have taken me about half a second to explain the value of a quilt to the stupid postal employee. Obviously he/she had never made one nor loved one. I'm glad they finally turned up!
|
You were very lucky.
|
First off, I would be madder than he** if the clerk said quilts had no value!! And after this experience I would NEVER use the USPS for packages ever again.....Over the holidays I had a USPS issue with a package I sent to Binghamton from Long Island. I paid extra for tracking, but not once did it get scanned - so I was not able to scan it and it arrived 5 days after the projected date they gave me. I was furious!!!

I have never had a problem with using the USPS, sometimes I will use their tracking system and it worked fine. If I was unable to track a package I would have gone to the Post Office where I mailed it and ask them to track it for me. You pay extra for that service and if I had a post office employee tell me something I wanted to insure had no value, I would ask to speak to a manager and find it in writing. It sounds to me that person should have been reported. You can always do it on line if you don't want to do it in person. Maybe a lot of that employee's packages go missing.
