WHat do you mean when you say "using adding machine paper?

Minnesewta-sam 07-30-2010 05:27 AM

What cute quilts. I recently purchased a new box of fax paper rolls, six or eight rolls for .99 thinking they would work good for paper piecing. Now you have me inspired to start on it. Thanks! Sara

you are using the paper as a foundation so the little pieces will lay flat and straight

Yes but most adding machine paper is pretty "cheap" and comes off easily...I steam press it and it practically falls off

anicra 08-01-2010 03:26 AM

Very nice. Great scrappy quilts.

Connie Merritt 08-01-2010 04:46 AM

I must need new glasses cause I can't find the tut for this method. Help. Love the beauty of your quilts and am anxious to learn more. Thank you for the pics and help finding the tut. Most likely I am not seeing what I should be seeing. Thanks again.

Try one block or strip before cutting a bunch! Fax paper is heat-sensitive and turns black when ironed....or at least, mine did a few years ago. Scared me to death! Just do a little testing before you use it.....please! :)

Check the tutorial I did on string piecing on adding machine paper..it makes a super foundation for the string piecing for things like borders and strips etc 3" wide or less

CarrieAnne 08-01-2010 08:52 AM
