Red White and Blue Stars
 

I think I finally figured out how to start a new topic! This is a quilt I just finished. There is a glaring mistake, and it isn't the border fabric I wanted, but it is now a flimsy. Just need to find time to quilt it! :) Thanks for looking!

Okay, what's the glaring mistake? the only thing I see is that some of the background blocks are going in different directions. But then who cares? It's a very nice quilt, I love stars.

There was no way to get around them going different directions. The center square (with the four star blocks) is not in the center! I should have made another row of blocks across the top! Ugh!

What I see is one gorgeous quilt top! I love that the focus block is not centered. Please post a photo after it's quilted.

I think that it is a lovely looking quilt! I see what you call 'glaring' but I prefer the term 'owner's intended mistake' or 'owner's signature'. No one can say that it does not belong to you!!

DGS helped me with this one. It will be his when he graduates from high school next year. Guess you would say this is a controlled one, also.

Your top looks terrific! The off-center block looks like it is supposed to be that way! You've done a great job on this! :)

i don't see any thing glaring at me. you must have a 'humility block'. and i can't spell anymore. that is one nice quilt. don't point out your mistakes.

I don't see any mistakes. It's off-center, but why is that a mistake? If you are going to tuck the top over the pillows, it's going to be off-center anyway. Only in this case, it's upside down.:o It's a great quilt, and i love the peacock fabric.
