Redemption

1 Attachment(s)
Just wanted to post a picture of this 1/2 finished top to redeem myself a little bit after the messy picture I posted asking for help with the measurements for the HSTs on this quilt. http://www.quiltingboard.com/main-f1...h-t205621.html
I am just going to put a row of stars and churn dashes top and bottom and then figure out some kind of border and I will be done!
Any and all suggestions for borders and quilting are welcome.
Thanks for looking.

In case anyone wanted to know that is a looooooong legged crow!! LOL

Your buildings, flowers and little sheep are darling. I am sorry, I can't help on borders.

Such a pretty quilt. I'd pick a fabric that I really like and use that for the border. Otherwise, use which ever fabric you have enough of for the border and binding. (that's often how I choose--it works, too) That's one cute sheep!

MimiBug123 11-11-2012 08:16 PM

I love it! It looks very folk artsy. I guess that's a word, but it is a gorgeous quilt!

QM 11-11-2012 08:30 PM

This is going to be a delightful quilt! Show us more as you go along, please.

wyldhare17 11-11-2012 08:35 PM

that is just so darn cute..id love to make one too..did you have a pattern or tdid you make it all up?...geez..its cute!

starshine 11-11-2012 08:49 PM

It is a charming quilt! I would suggest finishing the churn dash blocks and put them on the design board and step back. Are the buildings by the bird and one next to the chimney a kind of green or a type of beige/tan? Since the largest building is red and it is a strong color, and there are 2 that look green, with one partially blue or grey, I would audition a blue boarder, and see how it looks. Take a piece, maybe a fq and stand back to see if it works well.

Glad you like it. If I ever get finished I will send you the pattern if you like. Let me know.

The top left building is red, the next one down is beige and grey and the last towards the bottom is sort of an olive
green. I will audition a few once I get the rest of the churn dash blocks done. Thanks for the suggestions.

Thanks everyone for your comments. Sorry, I should have posted the name of the pattern with the picture. It is Village Square/ Whimsicals by Terri Degenkolb.
