Relay for life donation

Here is the start of a wallhanging I am making for the relay for life in our area. I am now sewing the strips together I have about 1/4 of it sewn.

Now I need to figure out how to quilt this.

It is 41X89 I wish it wasn't so long. I am not sure anyone will have a wall big enough to hang this on. I may have to figure a way to make it into a bed quilt.

This is absolutely gorgeous!! I look forward to seeing it when it is finished.

I would put on side borders in the purple and black - maybe 4" for one and 6" for the other, giving you another 20 inches on the quilt width. That would make the quilt 61" by 89", almost a good twin, definitely a great throw for a recliner.

That is one beautiful quilt. Love the colors and pattern.

it is beautiful- and i agree you should add side borders to make it a *usable* size...as a wall hanging it would have very limited (customer appeal) if it is to be used as some sort of fund raising for relay-
i've made a number of quilts over the past 10 years for relay for life activities- and the ones that are the most popular are twin-to full sized (value wise) queens are popular but it seems like the best (bang for the buck) is with a bit smaller than that.

Love it, been wanting to try a quilt like this but wasn't sure if the strips went from top to bottom or side to side now I know. Thank you

Wonderful and the colors are so beautiful. I have no idea of how you quilt it unless you can mimic the ribbon shape
