So DH asks me last night..."I guess you're serious about this quilting stuff, huh"? lol! I didn't start quilting until a little over 2 months ago when I started suffering from the quilting bug...and it hasn't let up!

Inspired by so many wonderful people that have designated spaces for their quilting I decided to take our guest room and make it a sewing/guest room. Thing is...our GD sleeps in this room (in her own portable crib since she's just 14 months) and so this room HAS to be childproof!!

So I've made sure that no small/dangerous/sharp objects are stored within her reach. Not even in drawers where she can open them and get to them...hence the pegboard over the table area...easy for me to find but not so easy for her to get to. (Of course she'll be supervised anytime she's in here anyway!)

My design wall is removable if need be and is not close to the floor. (I put some fabric scraps on it just to see how it works...and it's great!) And my quilting frame easily disassembles to move to the closet when she comes to visit.

The only thing she can get into is the fabric...which is so bright and colorful...which I think would be great for a future quilting buddy! ;-) Behind the door to the room is a bookcase with pattern and additional craft things which are in containers with tight fitting lids. Today's project is to find a new home for a few things on the bottom shelves that belong to our youngest son and then we should be all set to go when the family comes for Thanksgiving.

PVC frame is working much better than I anticipated and it's easy to move around.

Bought 3 yards of gridded flannel and used curtain rods on bottom and top to secure to the wall but can be removed easily.

2 blocks of wallpeg pegboard isn't quite enough so I ordered 2 more to go on either side of the boards that are currently up. So easy to find what I need!

Amazed how nicely these stick to the flannel. But if need be it will be easy to pin larger pieces to it.

These Elfa drawers must be at least 25 years old...but still work great and adds much needed storage space to my very small but growing stash.

That is nice and I see a pet bed too.

You are very lucky to have a room.

oO where did you get gridded flannel? You space is lovely! Lost of good ideas (especially the design wall).

I've never seen gridded flannel before. Very clever!
