Hello Ladies I have been away from QB for a while the reason is pictured below all machine applique on my new Singer Quantum (beautiful machine) I used variegated thread for the back and matching thread for the front for a reversible quilt it was a QAYG project I am hoping to add it to our local quilt exhibition next month.
(The green band is the hanging sleeve.) |

Wow, it turned out beautiful! That is a lot of appliqué but it turned out great.

absolutely beautiful!

Gorgeous! You definitely need to include it in your upcoming quilt show.
When you say machine applique... Is it fused then machined with a satin stitch or blanket stitch? Or is it what I called "Prepared" applique, which is turned under then applied with machine using a blind hem stitch? I always love to know the technical details. |
It's fused then machine applique I used triple stitches right through this technique is a first for me i used to hand applique, so much faster with the machine. Thank you for looking :)

Lovely! And I love the batik borders and sashing - they set off all the colors in the appliques without overpowering or clashing. Perfect choice. I think I might have to have it back side up at least some of the time if it were on my bed...
Very very nice. Alison |
Your quilt is beautiful! I have the Rose of Sharon dies for the Go. I haven't used them yet. Your quilt is very motivating to get started!
